MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS
Management Information Systems in VSB encourages students to pursue a study abroad experience related to their major. Studying MIS abroad is a wonderful opportunity for you to broaden and deepen your understanding of MIS while continuing coursework in your major.
Along with taking courses toward the MIS major, students should consider personal and professional opportunities that come with studying in a foreign country, such as internships and research.
As with most other VSB majors, it is important to begin thinking and planning the study abroad process early. Early planning will allow students to have a firm understanding of what can be taken abroad and what needs to be completed on campus.
鈥疘t should be noted that first-year鈥疺SB students cannot study abroad (with the exception of the Global Citizens Program), and鈥痵tudents must meet prerequisite requirements for their overseas institution.鈥��
鈥疶ell your academic advisor that you are interested in studying abroad at each registration appointment. Together, identify the best terms to go abroad, based on the courses in your four-year plan.
Some things to consider for鈥疢anagement majors:鈥��
You can take up to two MIS courses abroad.
MIS courses often cross-list with other VSB majors and minors 鈥� like Business Analytics
Search the OEA Course Approval History database to select from more than 3,000 study abroad courses that have already been pre-approved for liberal education requirements and a growing list of technical courses.
The Course Approval History database is not exhaustive and students can work with an OEA advisor to submit additional courses for review.
Don't forget - VSB has a list of policies and limitations specifically focused on study abroad. Make sure you're aware of these as you plan your overseas experience.

Study abroad opportunities are not limited to formal instruction. Consider taking advantage of the unique research, internship, and fieldwork opportunities available in different regions of the world. This not only expands your personal and professional network, but gives you critical intercultural skills as well as direct hands-on experience.

UCD has a wide variety of business courses at the Quinn School of Business. All courses are taken within Quinn School of Business.

It is important to plan ahead as it is not uncommon for scholarship deadlines to occur much earlier than a Villanova or program application deadlines.
There are many scholarships available for students through 澳门二分彩, our partner programs and other external sources, like the US Government. The OEA can help students with the scholarship search and application process. If a scholarship is found outside of the OEA scholarship page, students should have it reviewed by the OEA to determine if it is a viable option.
