COGNITIVE AND BEHAVIORAL NEUROSCIENCE
Studying Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience (CBN) abroad will help majors advance their studies, assist in building academic and professional networks in an international setting, and develop cultural literacy by travelling outside their comfort zone and expanding personal experiences.
Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience (CBN) majors must begin the study abroad advising process as early as possible to ensure that study abroad fits into the four-year curriculum. A student who targets a future semester for study abroad by the end of their first year and discusses that plan with their academic advisor is more likely to do a semester abroad that does not complicate filling the requirements for the major.
Students should speak with their CBN advisor as early as possible to discuss interest in study abroad. CBN advisors will help to identify which semester or summer would be best for an experience abroad and assist in planning to account for prerequisites and course sequencing.

- Planning ahead is essential for students thinking of going abroad during junior year
- CBN 4000 is only offered fall semester and should be taken senior year
- CBN 4100 is taken junior spring or senior spring semester
Search the OEA Course Approval History database to select from courses that have already been pre-approved for liberal education requirements and a growing list of technical courses.
The Course Approval History database is not exhaustive and students can work with an OEA advisor to submit additional courses for review.

Due to sequencing, students should work with their academic advisor to determine the best time to study abroad.
