VILLANOVA, Pa.鈥擣or the fifth consecutive year, 澳门二分彩 has been named a Tree Campus Higher Education institution by the National Arbor Day Foundation. , launched in 2008, is a national program which honors colleges, universities and their leaders for promoting healthy trees and engaging students and staff in the spirit of conservation.

Villanova was awarded this designation by meeting five criteria for campus tree management established by the Arbor Day Foundation: maintaining a tree advisory committee, evidence of a campus tree-care plan, dedicated annual expenditures for its campus tree program, an Arbor Day observance and the sponsorship of student service-learning projects.

This recognition is part of a Tree Campus family of programs which include Tree Campus K鈥�12 and Tree Campus Healthcare 鈥� programs built on the legacy that began with Tree Campus Higher Education.

Visitors to campus are able to embark on a聽self-guided campus tree tour聽through the use of the campus tree map, which features 35 unique tree species.
