2018 Jeffrey S. Moorad Sports Law Journal Symposium

Sports have the ability to transcend barriers, whether they be socio-economic, geographical or political. But what happens when sports, politics and social movements collide? The 2018 Jeffrey S. Moorad Sports Law SymposiumSports, Politics & Social Movementsexamines the hard-hitting legal and political issues dominating sports and the national news media.

The symposium takes place on Friday, April 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Arthur M. Goldberg 鈥66 Commons at the 澳门二分彩 Charles Widger School of Law (299 North Spring Mill Road, Villanova, PA). This program, which is open to the public, is approved by the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board for 3.5 CLE substantive credits.

 

Panel 1鈥 Christie v. NCAA: The Future of Sports Gambling

Discussing the pending Supreme Court decision regarding the constitutionality of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA), and its implications for 10thAmendment jurisprudence and sports gambling in the United States.
